Description:
One of my favorite pieces of jewelry to make is the porcelain earrings. They're inspired by mourning fabrics used in various traditional costumes. These fabrics were used to make clothing worn when a loved one passed away. These earrings are made of blackened silver and petrol porcelain. They are hand-painted.
These earrings are inspired by Delftware. A motif is painted onto the porcelain flower with pigment, after which it is fired in the kiln. The flower's painting continues on the back as well.
There is only one pair of these earrings left!
